I’m soaking up the last few weeks of the summer with these most delicious faces. I’ve been working really hard to stay off of my phone when I’m with my boys because well, they deserve my undivided attention and because it’s amazing how many beautiful and powerful life lessons we can learn from our kids...when we are fully present. For those who have been following me for a while, you know that my boys were born prematurely at 30 weeks and only 3 pounds each (spending an emotional 7 weeks in the NICU before coming home). Even now, 5 years later, I am in constant awe of what they’ve been able to accomplish with a lot of hard work (both have received every therapy available including years of physical therapy to get to this point). It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted...I just didn’t seem to have time (or make time) this week to do it. And it’s not because I don’t love you all but sometimes the thought of posting literally paralyzes me. I’ll have a picture ready to go but I can’t seem to pull the trigger and post (and I’m not an indecisive person). I think to myself...will it be thoughtful or insightful enough, do I like how the picture looks, will my post resonate with others, do I want to write about and share what’s going on my life? All these things and more sometimes keep me (and I’m guessing you too) from posting more often. ❤️ • So here’s my life update. In less than a month, the boys and I will be moving into our own apartment in NYC and they are going to start kindergarten. I have feverishly been trying to put our place together so that it feels like a home, is set up, ready, and comfortable for them. Sorry I know this is two posts in one day buuuuutt...... Literally I have not been able to stop staring at these photos and they even make me tear up because of how much they mean to me!! I know my boys will never be this small again, and in a year I'll look back on these photos with such fond memories of how "tiny" they are... even though they seem so big to me now!⁣ ⁣ Just another great reason to get in front of the camera, whether you're engaged or married or have kids - pictures are so important at any stage of life! ⁣ ⁣ And thank you, thank you, thank you to my sweet friend @ginapurcell_photography ⁣ for capturing such beautiful shots of my family - I will truly cherish these forever! Had an amazing time at cedar point (amusement park in Ohio) with my boys and my girlfriend! We stayed until almost midnight and rode all the best roller coasters as many times as possible. As my boys get older and busier the number of days I have all of three of them with me are decreasing so we try to make the most of the days we do have together. I'm starting to get that empty nest feeling and it's rough but I'll always support them in any way I can to help them achieve whatever goals they have set. #lovemyboys
