Malta is small and big at the same time. ⠀ It’s small because it is only 25km across and the capital is tiny, which makes it so easy to explore. What makes it big is the density of population. There are many people, many buildings and equally many cars. It’s not your imaginary escape lonely tranquil island. Don’t count on having quiet rest by the seaside. It is really noisy wherever you go. But you can still find those tiny little streets where no one goes and discovered beautiful gems like these colorful doors and wild roses.

It’s my first time ever experiencing a proper British afternoon tea experience. ⠀ It includes a pot of tea, sandwiches, scones, pastries of all sorts and even a piece of cake (swipe to see) ⠀ Obviously, you have to really stretch it out, as it is impossible to eat all those sweets without catching a hyperactive sugar wave. We ended up taking some of the food to go. ⠀ But the setting in general was so fancy and sweet, I think we took a billion pictures inside this hotel. ⠀ P.S. they say British Queen likes to stay here and have her afternoon tea ☕️

Valletta is the smallest capital in Europe with population of just 6,5 thousand people. But you won’t experience the lack of people on the streets of this cozy and charming city. ⠀ Each small lane is packed with cute cafes comfortably positioned on the steps of those steep streets of Valetta. ⠀ In the evening, if there are no enough chairs, people just sit down on the steps and engage in friendly conversations sipping on a cold beer.
