It hadn’t been too long after that he’d found himself too disoriented, too exhausted, to keep going. Settling with his back slumped to a rather large tree, it was easy here for Maelkith to just let his mind drift. War. The art of battle had plagued his homeworld; Vestia. The Vestians', they were bred for combat, down to their very cells. However, Maelkith never remembered any sort of battle he had ever lost, that is, until the Galactic Order arrived on his doorstep. The aroma of blood filled the atmosphere, whilst the green grass was stained red. This stale world Shiver had sent the vestian to consumed him, filled him with false ideologies and a sudden hatred for life forms who sought mundane purpose in their egotistical endeavours. Maelkith lounged by a ravine’s edge, watching a beach and its endless seabed: it glistened profusely in the grace of its warmth mother, and soon father moon. The planet's mysterious dark essence poured into him as if it were honey. Maelkith's benevolence had begun to fade as darkness began to manifest itself into reality, it was an existence lodged firmly under the cavity of his chest. A year had transpired since he was captured and turned into Shiver's hound. His hand now instilled fear into others, but he remained shackled to the misery of the Galactic Order. He was merely a weapon, dormant and uncaring for what judgement befell others. One could ponder what made him lose hope, yet none really had an answer as to why the sitting Vestian took no action … deaf and blind to the sins of the masses. And in time, he eventually fell to the darkness. During the darkest time of night, Maelkith's last thought of hope snapped. A form of energy enveloped itself around his body, and in time, his wings vanished. His golden eyes turned pitch black, and a black crest would carve itself into his visage.
