Prickly Pear Margarita. To make prickly pear syrup I placed the pulp of 2 prickly pears, 1 cup Water and 1/4 cup caster sugar in a saucepan. Bring to the boil & then reduce to a simmer until liquid halves. Refrigerate overnight. Create a margarita just the way you like it. Add as much or as little prickly pear syrup as you like Salud! This margarita pays tribute to the nectar of nature and showcases it along with a classic flavor partner - orange. The rim is a salt from @beautifulbrinysea. The ‘friends forever’ blend actually has granulated honey in it! The drink itself has both orange liqueur and aperol along with a honey-thyme syrup. Hope you enjoy this great warm weather drink! But just in case you were wondering, it can be enjoyed in any weather because it is that good! Cheers! __ Nature’s Nectar __ 1 1/2 ounce Rposado tequila @tequilacazadores 1/2 ounce Orange Liqueur @grangala 1/2 ounce Aperol @aperolusa 1/2 ounce Honey-thyme syrup 1/2 ounce Lime cordial 1/2 ounce Lemon juice Honey salt for the rim __ Shake all ingredients except salt in a shaker filled with ice. Use a lime wedge to moisten the edge of the glass and then dip into a shallow dish of the salt to form a nice rim. Add one ice block. Carefully strain the drink into the salt rimmed glass. Garnish with dehydrated citrus. Enjoy! __
