The beach at Casa Malca @casamalca is on the widest part of beach on the Tulum strip. It’s still a white sand beach and the water temperature is lovely, but there is a seasonal issue with sea grass in parts of the Caribbean Sea caused by rising water temperatures so guests are hitting the pools insteadIt’s great for guests at Casa Malca that there are two pools to choose from, one above ground and another in a blue underground cavern. You all probably know by now how much we love paddleboarding! In fact, we mourned a little when we had to put ours into long-term storage over the Winter! Any chance we can go is a good day for us! . One of our favorite days in Mexico has been paddleboarding in the mangrove forest of Casa Cenote (even in the rain!) and then taking them out on the ocean in the beautiful, pristine Soliman Bay! A stroll around Casa Malca @casamalca is similar to visiting a top notch art museum, except this museum is inside a hotel and on its beach and gardensThere’s loads of stuff to see and guests kinda get camera happy here Probably the most popular spot for instagram pics is just outside the grand foyer where tiered curtains made from vintage wedding dresses are framing the entrance. There’s swinging tufted chairs on one side and a sofa on the other side where the girls are having their modelling moment‍♀️. A couch is floating in the lobby framed by aubergine velvet curtains, there’s a strange vintage dentist chair that PK’s posing in, and so many more contemporary art pieces and jewel colored vintage furniture to photograph, the list is endless. There’s also a sexy bar with so many chandeliers we lost count and a rooftop lounge/bar with incredible, serene views of the ocean.
