Meet Adi Nadimpalli, an MSF physician who implemented our innovative POCUS project in South Sudan. Prior to this ultrasound training program, medical personnel generally had to rely on observed and reported symptoms to make a diagnosis. In his many years working in the field, Adi saw the need to train staff in better bedside diagnostics methods, in order to save more patients.

INTERVIEW WEEK!!!
.
.
Residency, medical school, and other job interviews can be really stressful. TBH I'm glad to be on the other side. But having gone through it, I have a few tips to share that are pretty widely applicable even outside dermatology.
.
1️⃣ Keep it CLEAN. You'd be amazed at how some people can't keep it together for just one day. Unprofessional behavior during an interview is pretty much ♂️
2️⃣ The answer to “what questions do you have?” Is pretty much ➡️ always a question. If you have nothing to ask then it comes off as disinterest in the program and/or not having done your research on the program.
3️⃣ Make your life a STORY. Most programs want to have a sense of where you're going and contribute to your success. A compelling story also makes you memorable for the right reasons.
4️⃣ Get to know the current residents! If they're not happy, then you probably won't be either. You're committing years of your life to this next step, finding the right fit is important!
5️⃣ Keep calm and have fun we've been waiting MONTHS to meet our future colleagues. All our interviewees are incredibly accomplished and now we're trying to convince YOU that you're a fit for us. .
We've been preparing and have put together a great week for our guests. I'm sure we'll have a great class matching in March!
.
Have any interview tips in your profession? Would love to hear how they're similar or different from medicine!

"Another One Bites the Dust" was used in a study to train medical professionals to provide the correct number of chest compressions per minute while performing CPR. The bassline has close to 110 beats per minute, and 100–120 chest compressions per minute are recommended by the British Heart Foundation, and endorsed by the Resuscitation Council (UK).

▶️INTERMITTENT FASTING◀️ ➖➖
Nutrition is integral to any fitness or weight loss goals. Intermittent fasting is a really popular diet for people trying to lose weight. Importantly, studies show that intermittent fasting DOES work for weight loss via overall calorie reduction, which protects against diabetes and heart disease, but it works about as well as any other diet. Interestingly, animal (but not human) studies suggest intermittent fasting can increase lifespan and protect against cancer and neurologic disease. ➖➖
➡️STICKING to your diet is the most important factor to how successful you’ll be. A lot of people like intermittent fasting because they can adapt it to their schedule and avoid feeling restricted during mealtimes. I’ve done it in the past and thought it really helped me cut my caloric intake down. I now mostly focus on trying to eat more lean meat, vegetables, and fruit and avoid processed and calorically dense foods. ➖➖
What nutrition plan do you use to reach your fitness goals? Share your intermittent fasting experiences with me!
Thanks @jacselph for the question! Let me know your questions in health and fitness!
