The Schut Twins are officially two months today Both of these dudes are rolling over tummy to back, smiling like little hams and starting to make their first little coos. Fisher is 10 pounds, 9 ounces and Gunnar is 8 pounds, 11.5 ounces. We’re still working to get Gunnar’s weight up, but we’re confident we are on the right track. We appreciate all of the positive vibes as we work hard to help these boys grow. They are both different, unique little humans and we love that about them.

My baby shower was this past weekend. As excited as I was for the celebration, I was also approaching the day with conflicting feelings (story of my life after loss). I was worried about it being too similar to Juniper’s baby shower that was held only a year prior — almost to the day. We decided to have it at our house again, I love opening up our adorable old lady home and filling it with love & laughter. Somewhat thankfully, we ended up inside rather than on the patio where we were last year. I appreciated the slightly different setting. Everyone got to check out the baby’s room, which has come a long way in the past year (thankfully). I rocked a vintage floral dress - I have not yet been able to bring myself to wear the orange floral one I wore many times with my first baby belly. We skipped the sharing of parenting advice. Juniper was celebrated as a big sister, and me as a mother of 2. Junie Bear wore a big sister bow and even got her own gift at the shower - a Best Big Sister onesie which I cherish. My tribe showed up in so many ways - writing cards to me, Junie, & Little F’r #2, full of love and hope. Our house was decorated in clementines and orange flowers, which felt like touches of big sister everywhere. I am surprised that I only cried once! Everyone admired my growing belly and had a good time together trying to guess this little one’s gender. Thank you for all the well-wishes and support.
