Lately the question we get most often is, “SoOooOo how’s married life” And y’all let me just say sharing a name and a home with my best friend is more than I could have ever hoped for. • • • • Amidst all the excitement after Sean proposed we realized we would need somewhere to live. We saw this as a minor detail. But add in 3 crazy dogs to our renting situation and things got interesting quickly. But the Lord has been so faithful and worked in ways I may never have thought of or even chosen for myself at the beginning. The home we share now was actually my grandmother’s once upon a time. She passed away when I was in middle school and afterward it was rented to close family friends for a few years. When Sean and I decided to elope we found out that the renters were ready to move. The timing seemed straight from Jesus however, the green shag carpet in the home did not. So Sean and I had one of those change your life conversations and decided to start a home renovation. We are talking ripping out the horrifyingly green carpet afore to mentioned, scrapping off popcorn ceilings, painting every room in the house and so much more. All while I was graduating / looking for a job and Sean was pursuing engineering and working. And we were planning an elopement ‍♀️ looking back it is almost terrifying how eager we were to completely overextend ourselves. But it didn’t feel that way in the moment and that is all because of Jesus. I think back and call us crazy but we were just acting on the grace and boldness Jesus so graciously gave us as we needed it. We had so much help it blows me away. Family and friends gave us their weekends to help us make a home when all we had to offer in return was a healthy dose of sheet rock dust and some pizza. We are far from finished but happy to say the house is unrecognizable from when we started. I love this life we are quite literally building together and I can’t wait to see what memories we will make in this home we are creating together.

If you’ve followed me for a long time you probably have realized I change my mind a million times about how I run my photography business or what I offer. Trying to figure out a style and what works best for myself is soooo hard especially when I look up to so many talented photogs that seem like they can do it all! I have already taken a break from weddings once in the past, but i’ve decided to completely remove them from the packages that I offer.
