I believe it is so important that as a parent you teach your child compassion and kindness. But I always wonder HOW do you teach them that? So I figured, take baby steps. Involve them in your activities and teach them through your actions! Last night, Mirha and I went to @ilovehopscotch 5th anniversary. What I loved most about the event was this box of kindness, which is meant to go to charity. You and your child can both take part in this activity. Ask your child to pick out old clothes or new ones, toys and books they want to donate to other children who are not fortunate to have them easily and share their happiness with them! Trust me children surprise me with their kindness! Even though Mirha was reluctant to let go of her favourite clothes but after telling her where the clothes will go she parted with them. And made me a proud Mama. Little steps... that’s how you start

It won’t hurt if we try to learn a thing or two from the kids: 1️⃣ They’re compassionate. Mirha would come and kiss me to make me feel better when I’m sad. . 2️⃣ They don’t keep grudges. Mirha would forget all about Mama being mean to her after a while and that’s the beauty of being so giving. . 3️⃣ They’re full of life and full of love! . 4️⃣ They make everything seem so possible because they’re so determined! . 5️⃣ They can climb trees and nobody would bat an eye! . 6️⃣ They can get away with ALOT because kids... . . Love like them. Live like them. My daughter pushes me to be a better version of myself, every single day. Alhumdulillah for all the happiness in my life.
