I remember a time when showing your imperfection was unheard of. I would always wear shorts as swimwear since I was a teen, to hide my stretchmarks. Because people have this impression that my skin is flawless top to toe. It is not. But somehow I didn’t want to ruin that impression either. Very grateful to the women who are strong and beautiful who flaunt it and tell us that it’s normal. They have impacted girls like me who feel ashamed by these tiger stripes.
