After taking inspiration from Bigfoot's Snakebite Monster Truck, Don Frankish wanted to come up with his own 3D concept truck. He waited a few years to observe the success of the 3D trucks, while coming up with plans for a dinosaur themed monster truck. He had sketches of a Tyrannosaurus Rex design, but initially decided he liked the idea of a Triceratops better, and so, Jurrasic Attack was born. In 1999 Jurassic Attack would debut on a leaf spring chassis under Kevin Weenk. In 2000 a full tube chassis was built for Jurassic Attack and Linsey Weenk became the full time driver in the year following. Jurrasic Attack's chassis was built similar to Maniac's chassis at the time, and designed in a fashion that Jurassic Attack and Maniac could use interchangable parts. As Kevin's successor, Linsey drove Jurassic Attack for five years until 2006 when he switched to 2Xtreme Racing to drive Iron Outlaw, and his brother Nathan Weenk took over Jurassic Attack for the year. In 2007 Kristen Edge began driving Jurassic Attack full time with a new blue design. In 2007 Jurassic Attack competed internationally on a Live Nation/FELD chassis, where Don Frankish won a Freestyle competition in Cardiff. In 2010 Jurassic Attack's chassis was sold, and multiple drivers drove it throughout it's final season, primarily including Gary Schott Jr, as well as previous driver Kevin Weenk, former crew member Mike Bell, and few others. Despite its retirement, Jurassic Attack was included in the 2011 Monster Jam Souvenir Yearbook, with Scott Anderson listed as the driver. In 2012 the Jurassic Attack Ride Truck was built. In the following year, Frankish would lease the chassis to Trent Hickie to run as as the new Maniac, and was later leased to Dave Smith in 2016 to continue to run as Maniac. In 2017 a green Jurassic Attack was released by Hot Wheels, based on a photoshopped concept from 2010. As of 2019 Jurassic Attack remains to be retired, but it was hinted at by Terminator driver Jonathan Elkins, that the truck could return, as he has spare body panels at his shop.
