The CAD file was redrawn using movie stills to get the sizes/proportions correct. That 3D model I downloaded really is rubbish! Cut some plastic templates out to check for fit and heat bent them where necessary, all this will be replaced with aluminium in the future. Sometimes you get a private commission that starts to snowball with unforseen troubleshooting, takes far more time than anticipated setting an already backed up schedule further back and so on and this was that. You learn and you improve. In the end this thing is very, very sweet and we are very fortunate to have a patient but understandably frustrated client due to the added time this took. This is a Korobanth v2 crossgaurd, #plecterlabs prizim v5.5 board, modular 18650 cell, blades were made in house with 5050 144\m strips, custom saber shop blade parts, custom saber shop pogo pin adapter on the main blade and gx16 connectors on the quillions. “Edmund’s sword was conceived as something given to him by Aslan’s Centaurs and therefore had much in common with their weaponry. Paul (@paul_tobin_art) designed the hilt and pommel to be subtly evocative of the lamppost. According to the books, the Witch herself used a broken piece of a London lamppost as a weapon in The Magician’s Nephew. The remains of that piece would magically grow to become the lamppost encountered by Lucy when she first came to Narnia.
