I finished up the lower patio with privacy lattice this week and will be moving onto another one early next week. I am so grateful for how much work there is up here in Muskoka, especially after blindly moving, not knowing anyone, and just leading with the faith that it would work out. Spent yesterday afternoon paddling the shoreline in Huntsville, including right over top of this section of the Trans Canada Trail on Hunter’s Bay. The damage and debris left from the flooding (which is far worse just south of here in Bracebridge) is overwhelming. It will take months to clean up the debris that’s even salvageable, as much of it has sunk or been displaced into inaccessible wooded areas. If you’re out there and you can do it without putting yourself at risk, please grab something, anything, even if it’s just one thing. Every little bit counts, and our water and waterways are the most precious resource we have here.
