We all survived the 4th trimester and this guy is sleeping 8-9 hours at night now ! I have no clue how he’s this big or where the last 3 months went. Time, please slow down. My baby isn’t a newborn anymore

The past 10 weeks have been some of the greatest (and hardest) of my 33 years of life. I now understand what it means to have your heart live outside of your chest and have already mastered so many tasks one handed. Being a parent is as great and as terrifying as they say. And now that I’ve experienced it I wouldn’t trade it for a damn thing.

6 weeks with this dude. He’s getting more used to being out in the world and we’re getting more used to being parents and our new normal. It’s crazy how much bigger he is already and how much more alert and aware he is. P.S. They didn’t lie in sex education class, newborns are cute but they are not easy.

Becoming parents has been both greater and harder than we ever imagined. Even with all the advice and information (thank you, everyone!) you never can really prepare for how life changing it is until you go through it with your own child. While we still have a lot to figure out, we are settling into our own little groove as a family of 4. And as everyone says, we’re taking it a day at a time and each day does get a little easier.

The whole family is finally home and we’re loving getting to know our newest addition. And Walter has already assumed the role of protective big brother.

Taking a quick break from all these sweet baby snuggles to introduce our little Supermoon dude, William James Cagle. He introduced himself to the world on Tuesday, February 19th at 6 pounds, 8 ounces, 20 inches long, and by peeing all over the OR delivery team.

And suddenly our little guy is a month old already. I simultaneously want him to grow so big and also stay this small forever. It’s crazy how fast time has gone (and how slow the nights go). Can’t wait to see what month 2 brings!

Well luckily we got one more weekend to prep, relax (kinda), enjoy one last weekend together just the two of us (or three if you count @pardonmyfrench_ie) and also freak a little bit about the fact that our little one will be here tomorrow. We know so much is about to change, but we really can’t wait. Thank you for all of the love and support over these last several months. We can’t wait to share the good news and tons of photos of his arrival once we can take a break from soaking up all of the baby snuggles and things have calmed down a bit over here. Fair warning, tons of baby spam is sure to hit your feed soon.
