THE MAIN MENTOR FOR THE DEATH OF THE IMPERIAL FAMILY IN EKATERINBURG:
Lenin never rushed when it came to making a decision. He loved to put his enemies against each other. As long as the Romanovs were useful for some political purpose, they would be kept alive in Yekaterinburg. For some time, Lenin even hoped that it would be possible to use them to bargain with the Germans, but with the regional Soviet of the Urals and other soviets hard lines sending thousands of telegrams that required the execution of Tsar, he knew that time was against, but Lenin wanted to make sure that his name wasn’t in any way stained by their murder. What was clear is that the enigmatic Sverdlov, the man who actually commanded the party machine, was the one who moved to seal the ultimate fate of the imperial family in direct talks with the Bolsheviks of the Urals. But this don’t exclude the fact that for Lenin, the Romanov dynasty "was a monarchist filth" and for that the revolution and the "social cleansing" to occur, "hundreds of Romanov heads hading to be cut off.” In the end, it was the argument that the Czechs were advancing that made them kill not only the Tsar but also the rest of imperial family. #tsarnicholasii #romanovfamily #romanovs #monarchy #imperialfamily #russianrevolution #imperialrussia #russianempire #tsar #nikolasii #nicholasii

THE PSYCHOLOGICAL TORTURE THAT THE IMPERIAL FAMILY SUFFERED AT THE IPATIEV HOUSE, IN EKATERINBURG: Although summer was approaching, all the windows of the Ipatiev house, in Ekaterinburg, were sealed and, on May 15, the outside world was completely whitish when the windowpanes were painted, ensuring that nothing could be seen inside or outside of house. No matter how sunny the day was, because there was a perpetual darkness within the house. As the temperature rose and the rooms was stay stuffy, the ex-tsar repeatedly asked the guards, who reported to Commander Avdeev, so that the windows were stay minimally open. Avdeev, however, denied Nicholas's request and sent him and his family to hell. On several occasions, the lookouts saw the head of one of the girls out side the window. The warnings for that the family didn’t do this were ignored and, finally, a sentry fired a shot when Anastasia's head appeared out the window. The bullet struck the top window and bounced off the wall of the room. The imperial family was suffocated with heat and made several complaints about the lack of air inside the Ipatiev house. Thus, a window was opened on June 23, but the guards were ordered to increase vigilance and everyone was forbidden to put their heads out the window or try to make any sign to someone in the street. #nicholasii #tsarinaalexandra #tsarevichalexei #grandduchessolga #grandduchessmaria #grandduchesstatiana #grandduchessanastasia #theromanovfamily #romanovfamily #imperialfamily #oldrussia #monarchy_russia #tsar #tsarina #anastasianikolaevna #ipatievhouse

THE EGG FABERGÉ OF THE PALACE OF ALEXANDER, CIRCLED BY PORTRAITS OF THE FIVE IMPERIAL CHILDREN:
Made during the Passover of 1908, the Egg Fabergé of the Palace of Alexander was given to Nicholas II by the Empress Alexandra Feodorovna, his wife. At 11 inches tall, it is lined with gold, diamonds, rubies and nephrite, costing about 12.300 rubles. The surprise is a miniature of the Palace of Alexander, in St. Petersburg, where the family resided for most of the time. The egg is circled by portraits of the five imperial children, who are under the monogram of each one of them. It was confiscated by the Kerensky government in 1917, and today, it is in the Kremlin Arsenal, Moscow.

AN ENGAGEMENT THAT DIDN’T PLEASE THE GRANDMOTHER OF BRIDE AND THE PARENTS OF GROOM:
Nicholas Alexandrovich (future Tsar Nicholas II) and Alice of Hesse and by Rhine (future Tsarina Alexandra) got engaged on April 8, 1894. At first, Nicholas's father, the Tsar Alexander III, and his mother, the Empress Maria Feodorovna, rejected the prospect of a future marriage between both. Although the princess Alice came from a good family, they wanted Nicholas to marry some French princess, such as Princess Helena (daughter of Louis Philippe, Count of Paris) or some woman of featured from some other royal house in Europe. Initially, the tsar ignored his son's preference, but when Alexander became ill, he and Maria Feodorovna agreed to the marriage of Nicholas and Alice. In addition, the Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom, Alice's grandmother, also was against the union of her granddaughter with a Russian suitor. She was very unhappy with her "Alix" going to Russia. The queen wrote: "The more I think in the marriage of my sweet Alix, the more unhappy I become. I really like Nicholas, but my concern is because of Russia, where my Alix will live, the politics, the differences between us and the terrible insecurity to which this sweet child will be exposed. How I didn't want to miss my sweet Alix”.
