Remember the time I did a 1.5 hour hike barefoot? ‍♀️ ♡ My flipflop broke 5 minutes into the hike (I am forever hiking in flip flops, when will I ever learn ) so I decided to keep going barefoot and boy did it hurt!! The stones were so painful (especially the small ones!!) and so hot in the heat! Not my smartest travel move but at least I was rewarded with stunning views!! ♡ 'Wadi' is the Arabic word for 'valley' and often they have water in them. There are literally hundreds of wadis in Oman, but Wadi Shab is probably the most famous. ♡ To get to Wadi Shab you actually need to take a short boat ride to get to the wadi, then you walk about 45 minutes each way to get to the water, where you swim until you get to the waterfall - some parts of the wadi can only be reached by swimming. It is truly stunning here. ♡ I met a few Omani locals on the walk, they wanted to offer me some shoes but they weren't wearing any themselves . They were used to walking on these stones, and provided me at least with some entertainment on the walk to forget the pain my feet were in . ♡ Tell me some of the travel mishaps you've had ‍♀️.
