Doch was bedeutet das? Es bedeutet, dass ich mir nun aus all den Möglichkeiten das schönste Leben zusammen basteln darf. Klingt genial oder? Ist es auch und dennoch gar nicht mal sooo einfach . . . Darum schreibe ich nun jeden Tag meine Wünsche in ein Buch in Form von Affirmationen. Da steht dann: Ich bin ein glücklicher und erfolgreicher Selbstliebe Coach, Trainer und Speaker. Ich bringe jedes Jahr tausende Menschen in die Selbstliebe und mache jeden einzelnen Mensch glücklich. Ich veranstalte mit meiner besten Freundin Jana wundervolle Yoga und Meditations Retreats im Zeichen der Selbstliebe in Asien, Europa und Amerika. . . . Ich schreibe es immer und immer wieder auf. Ich fühle mich hinein und verankere die Energie in mir, damit das Gesetz der Anziehung genau weiss, was ich mir wünsche. Ich bin ein Magnet für die schönsten Dinge, die ich mir vorstellen kann! . . . Ya’ll I had to take a hard look in the mirror the other day. In motherhood it is easy to lay all your needs aside for the sake of your child, and we call it love but some of the time the fuel of it is just guilt. Guilt if you take care of yourself you’re being selfish. At least that’s my reasoning. And yes I am a two on the enneagram The other day my milk supply almost dried up completely and a huge proponent of that was my lack of self care. I mostly don’t eat during the day, or drink water. And it got to the point I was so dehydrated from breastfeeding my body had trouble producing milk. Not to mention my overall health was taking a toll. It took the realization of me not taking care of myself means I can’t take care of others, to really wake me up to take care of myself. So I went to the store, started chugging body amor (to help my supply, it really does help), I started drinking double my weight in water (kidding..sorta), I started taking time to eat healthy meals, taking daily supplements and started watching more makeup YouTube tutorials I even started showering daily-ish! Which as a mom can be really difficult! Either you don’t have the time or the drive. I feel like a new woman when I shower and shave though. I prance through the house like a show horse, constantly telling my husband to feel how soft my legs are. But I am still definitely learning! It’s weird being in the middle of learning processes. Today Edmon was playing quietly alone. He was content with toys, making his super concentrated face and I was sitting three feet away watching YouTube tutorials. I suddenly felt this guilt, like “oh no, I should be entertaining him! He needs my undivided attention!! I should go in the backyard and bury my phone so it won’t take a second away from being with him!!!!!”. Sadly, I am that dramatic in my mind. But then I took a pause, realized he is totally fine, in fact it’s probably better for him to learn to self entertain and then resumed watching on how to contour Baby steps.

As I finished work today and reflect, I think of this. My last day today at my day job was full of both sadness and excitement. Sadness to leave so many wonderful people that I have loved working with. However so excited for me to make my ‘one day’ into my ‘day one’. I can’t wait for this new chapter to officially start on Monday. Catch you all on the other side. #thepapergazelle #onedayordayone

This is my beautiful postpartum balding! At first I wanted to cry! Fist fulls of hair would come out in the shower, and it got to the point I was scared to brush my hair. I remember wanting to cry, and then I asked myself why does this make me want to cry? Why do I care so much? What am I embarrassed of? Then I started thinking about my postpartum body in general. I started asking myself why I cared about the stretch marks? Or the extra pounds? Why do I care my body changed? What am I putting my identity in? Truth is, the world will continuously try to shove this image in your face and say “LOOK LIKE THIS, IF YOU WANT HAPPINESS, SECURITY, LOVE, AFFECTION, ADMIRATION - LOOK LIKE THIS!!!” Truth is, I have joy, I have security, I have love, I have IDENTITY. And it’s not in my hair, it’s not in my body, it’s in Jesus. Point blank. I normally wear my hair up because it’s convenient, and now I show off my postpartum balding like it’s a hot new trend. Mama, if you’re struggling with this new body thats been thrown on you, that’s okay!! There’s grace. Go at your own pace, but mama trust me, you’re still there. You’re still beautiful! Our bodies are meant to change. They grow and they shrink, our hair changes colors, our hair can fall out and grow back, our skin changes form. It’s just life. And its beautiful, and you’re beautiful and here’s a virtual hug. You got this. We got this
