It’s May 1st and time for #thevintagefashionchallenge again! I’m going to try my best to keep up with the prompts this year. So let’s start this off with Day 1: “You, in a nutshell”. • • My names Dana, I’m 27 and live in Buffalo, New York (far, far away from nyc). I’m vegan, unapologetically gay and a Virgo to a T. I’ve always loved vintage fashion but find it hard and sometimes costly to find true vintage plus size garments therefore a lot of the vintage that I do have are hats, jewelry, purses and coats. But I think the right vintage hat and jewelry can elevate any outfit so these are my favorite things to collect anyways. When I’m not dressed up some of my favorite things to do are hike, cook, take road trips, sew, scope out estate sales, and play with my pet rabbit ☺️ I’m super excited to participate again this year in the challenge because I love seeing everyone’s outfits, building a bigger community and making more friends.

[ ] I wanna end my input to the #giwfairfashion of the #greeninstaweek with a lot of red. A great sustainable way of fashion would be making your garments on your own. I wanna learn some basics in future but of course it’s a long journey. But in general many think that knitting is just about scarfs or baby socks. But look at this top - @coleslivka did it with true vintage wool and pattern, it’s far away from a grandma knitting hundreds socks for the children. No, this top is pure beauty, so classic and timeless and more than sustainable! Also @coleslivka is such a lovely woman!! Learning knitting or finding someone realizing your dream garments is also a way for fair fashion.
