Anyone else experiencing the drought? Never thought I’d see it in Oregon again tbh // #highanddryjuly • Where is this coming from? Well Oregon and Cali are finally cracking down, there’s a start. ‍♀️For many of you who may not be aware, Josephine county is/was a very large hub for outdoor growers in the southern most county of Oregon right on the border to Cali. We drove to Cali last week, and I had heard about the moratorium going into place in that county last year, but jeez! It was crazy to see abandoned weed farm after abandoned greenhouse (30 at least) all along the highways. I wonder if it’s just because they’re so obvious, maybe the ones further off the road stayed in operation? But I’ve heard the cops are driving around the roads while the helicopters fly and report back. Anyone have any insight on this? Didn’t see any said helicopters but maybe they’re waiting til the plants are further along? • • We did see a few (maybe 7 total) hemp farms and alot of exasperated workers planting tons of nitrogen deficient seedlings midday in unworked clay completely by hand . All the while we were hoping our girls took to our hard-worked fields. This is what we came home to. • • PS you can’t plant a hemp field in a day. It’s a ton of hard work, prepping soil, removing roots of other plants, spreading fertilizer (all organic), ploughing, discing, tilling, setting up irrigation, laying plastic mulch— oh yeah and planting thousands of plants all the while tending to thousands of seedlings ⚖️ . If you think otherwise, you are very mistaken. Happy 7/10 you knew I wouldn’t be able to resist posting one more vid of this white tahoe cookies thca sugar... cookie crumbs!! • • • Ironically 7/10 is also the day I was graced with a second chance at life. Some good friends of mine and I went on an after high school road trip in an attempt to see daft punk at red rocks, but first we wanted to get to Cali. We didn’t like Utah (go figure) so we decided to drive through the night. • (Interesting fact, Utah had double flavored cigar wraps— chocolate//strawberry, never seen that anywhere else) • We raced through the night steadily, and I remember my moms boyfriend telling us to make sure the passenger stayed awake with the driver. I was in the back and finally passed out, seatbelt off which I never do. My friend was cruised controlled at 95 mph when he fell asleep behind the wheel. I woke up to a loud “fuckkkk” as we crashed through a sign and preceded to flip many times over. My friends came to and couldn’t find me—they thought for sure I had been crushed under the car. They rushed outside to find me standing there on my feet, saying “shit we need to find the weed and destroy it before these Nevada cops come!” Ten minutes passed. Finally a truck stopped. He told us Nevada cops were nuts and make sure there was nothing incriminating when they got there. I still remember that jar— blueberry, sweet sweet blueberry weed from nyack, ny. Hopefully we will get to recreate that this year with @thehumboldtseedcompany blueberry muffins, cuz that’s the closest thing I’ve ever found to it, yes even on the west coast. Some of the best bud I’ve had was east coast— no lie. It was clearly never vacuum sealed — nice big fluffy buds, structure still intact. • • Needless to say they pumped me up on countless pills but the thing that really made me feel better was weed. Sad to know how many people just take the pills and don’t even realize they may not like weed because of a particular strain or pesticide it was sprayed with. I can’t wait for the day you can go into a store and reliably know what you’re getting in every state, yet I’m not sure Utah will really ever come around. Thoughts on that? • • #710

This is why I shoot for a 7.0 soil ph. A lot of growers go lower and you can have larger root structures faster but o prefer to modify my feeding ph to this chart. Has been my experience I will use #bioag TM7 and ph it at 6.0 for trace then feed my plants the next feed with a 7.3 if using oyster, 7.5 if using lime.
