This moma got herself a Master’s Degree for Mother’s Day. For me this is not just a celebration of graduation but also a celebration of a change in my mindset. There was a time when my only goal was to graduate from high school. Since then God has expanded my exposure and given me a new perspective on who I am and what I’m capable of achieving through Him. Now, here I stand the first of my family to go to and complete graduate school. Through one change in mindset we have the power to change the perspective of an entire generation. I dedicate this degree to my mom @patricia.warren.5623 for always pushing me to see myself beyond my environment and to see myself as God has created me. If you think you can you will. Hard to handle coworkers are at every organization and they can suck the life out of you and the team . Research suggests that the most important factor of success in teams are the quality of personal relationships. . But what if someone’s agenda gets in the way of the teams success? . Raise your own game and keep your ego in check.. others will follow. Set the standard of supporting open dialogue and collaboration rather than retaliation. . Difficult coworkers are apart of every organization at every level but what drives the behavior? . Behind the facade of possible undercutting, the ones who believe they know it all, the yes men/woman, the whiners and the ones who explode into unfocused rants and raves with things that are not related to accomplishing the end goal.... the majority of time the behavior is deep rooted in trying to gain the appreciation or seeking approval from others. . Which simply means the way to overcome is by focusing on building them up, at times confronting it privately in an empathetic manner and rising above. . Relating to others who possess some of this behavior can be extremely frustrating, life sucking and difficult. . But guess what when dealing with people you will deal with many types. Difficult coworkers range from entry level to C-level execs across any industry and any organization. So buck up and do what you can to bring the best out in others. . Don’t take it personally, try to cultivate trust because how you handle it will end up reflecting on your character. . .
