The Ottawa Tool Library has expanded! Check out their wicked new wall piece that we, along with a few fellow contributors tagged in this video, helped bring to life!

Stuff like this simply couldn’t be done without the incredible OTL volunteers & a dream team of collaborators.

Feeling very lucky to be a part of this kicka$$ community.

Google tells me that “thing you put hot pots on” is called a trivet. So there you go. I repurposed some cord scraps to make this trivet.
.
.
The true story is I didn’t intend to make a trivet. I was just playing around with some scraps, trying some new knots, and this was the end result ♀️ Sometimes it’s more about keeping my hands busy than what I’m actually making... but hey, you can never have enough trivets!

Happy birthday to my biggest supporter, best friend, love of my life and the bravest, most kind and resilient person I know, @jayce_myenbylife. Anyone who knows you is blessed by your presence and I still have to pinch myself when I think about how I get to share my life with you. Can’t wait to keep being gay and confusing cis people with you for years to come
I had a lot of fun drawing our little family and I’d love to do something like this for you too if you’d like! Send me a DM or email

I’ve been thinking a lot about something @curious_and_kind said at the Soft Art panel about marginalized people’s happiness being a sort of act of defiance. I’ve found my experience with activist work to be so exhausting and disheartening (while also making me feel hopeful and inspired at the same time!) that it can be difficult to find things to be happy about and grateful for. But it’s true, in a world that seems to strive to make us feel like shit it is a sort of activism in itself to lean in to what makes us happy!
I’m grateful for this platform, for my opportunity to create and share art, and for the people in my life that I love. How about you?
