എഴുതണം എന്ന തീവ്രമായ ആഗ്രഹം ഉള്ളിൽ കടന്നു കയറിയിട്ട്‌ കുറച്ചായി.
കുറച്ച്‌ എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞാൽ കുറച്ച്‌ കൊറേയായി.
ഒരു ഏഴെട്ടു വർഷങ്ങൾ ആയിക്കാണണം.
പക്ഷേ, എഴുതാൻ അറിയില്ല. അതിനെക്കാൾ മാരകമായ പ്രഷ്നം വേറെ എന്തുണ്ട്‌? എങ്കിലും അത്‌ പ്രഷ്നം ഇല്ലായെന്നുവെക്കാം. പരിഹാസം. അതു സഹിക്കില്ല.
ഭയമാണ്‌. എഴുതിയാൽ മറ്റുള്ളവർ എന്തു കരുതുമെന്ന ഭയം. അവർ എങ്ങനെ പ്രതികരിക്കുമെന്ന ഭയം. ഭയം.ഭയം. ഭയം. അതും ഒരു അനുഗ്രഹം ആണെന്നു ഇടക്ക്‌ ഒക്കെ തോന്നാറുണ്ട്‌. അല്ലെങ്കിൽ എന്തായിരുന്നേനെ? പലതും ചെയ്തു പോകുമായിരുന്നില്ലേ? പല തെറ്റുകളും? നാമറിയാതെ ഉള്ളിൽ എവിടെയോ ഒരു തേങ്ങൽ പോലെ ഭയത്തിന്റെ അഗ്നിയും കെട്ടടങ്ങിക്കിടപ്പുണ്ടത്രേ.
എന്നാൽ ചിന്തിച്ചത്‌ മറ്റൊന്നാണ്‌. യുധിഷ്ഠിരന്റെ സ്ഥായിഭാവമായിരുന്ന ഭയം കാരണമാണല്ലോ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്‌ പലതും നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടത്‌. അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ ഭയവും ഒരു ദൗർബല്യമത്രെ. അതുകൊണ്ട്‌ അതങ്ങു മാറ്റിനിർത്തി.
ഇപ്പോൾ ഭയം തോന്നുന്നില്ല. പരിഹാസങ്ങൾ സ്പർശിക്കുന്നേയില്ല. വിമർശനങ്ങളെ കാറ്റിൽ പറത്താനും ഒരു സുഖമൊക്കെയുണ്ട്‌.
തൊലിക്കട്ടികൂടി എന്നാണ്‌ ഉമ്മയുടെ പക്ഷം.
എന്നാൽ മറ്റു പലകാര്യങ്ങൾക്കുമാണെന്നത്‌ പരമാർതഥം.
യാത്രയെക്കുറിച്ച്‌ എഴുതാനാണ്‌ വന്നിരുന്നത്‌. പറഞ്ഞു പറഞ്ഞു കാടുകയറിയത്‌ അറിഞ്ഞില്ല. അതാണു അക്ഷരങ്ങളുടെ മാന്ത്രികത. ആരെയും മയക്കി നിർത്തുന്ന മാന്ത്രികത.
ഒരുപാട്‌ യാത്ര പോവണമെന്നാണ്‌ ആഗ്രഹം. കരയും കടലും കടന്നു മരുഭൂമികൾ താണ്ടി അങ്ങേയറ്റം വരെ പോവണമെന്നു തന്നെയാണു പറയുന്നത്‌. വിനോദത്തിന്‌ അല്ല. സാഹസികതക്കും അല്ല..ലക്ഷ്യം മറ്റൊന്നാണ്‌..
കാണാൻ. കണ്ടറിയാൻ. മനസ്സിലാക്കാൻ.
അറിയാത്തതായി പലതുമുണ്ട്‌. പലതുമല്ല. ഒട്ടുമിക്കതും അറിയാത്തതുതന്നെയാണ്‌....
