We are truly excited to be able to photograph some of our spectacular pieces from the early 20th century this summer as we continue to work towards building a visual database of our collection. This past week has been dedicated to shooting 1920s evening dresses, and, in case you haven’t noticed from the many Insta-stories that we’ve been posting, it’s been an incredible experience! Many of our 1920s beaded dresses are stored in boxes and are too fragile to photograph on dress forms, but some of them amaze us with how sturdy their construction can be, looking just as brilliant as they did almost 100 years ago. Terminaste tus 4 años en Parsons. Aunque pensaste que serias clase del 2018, 2019 is a lot coooooler! No sabes lo feliz, orgullosa y emocionada que estoy por ti. Desde freshman year tuviste una meta de graduarte con una tesis que querías seguir despues de graduarte y hoy te gradúas con el comienzo de eso. Con un concepto y producto que creastes con mucho amor y esfuerzo @simplyspoonfull Quien diría que en estos 4 años crearas @simplybysabri , algo que empezó como un chiste con tus amigas @valeriaalvarezt @mfbgutierrez (fun fact: el nombre se lo invento @mfbgutierrez ) y hoy es parte de quien sos y lo que inspiro tu tesis. Que representa tu estilo de vida. Lo que amas y disfrutas hacer todos los días de tu vida: comer rico, cocinar, mover tu cuerpo, conectar, emprender, inspirar a otros, vivir rico y sano y atreves de simply conocer a gente que te inspira a ti, que te enseña a ti y que te motiva a ti. Un espacio donde conectas con gente que comparten cosas parecidas, un time capsule, tu ‘resume’, donde te entretenes y donde podes pasar horas scrolling viendo recetas ricas, gente cool, aprendiendo y viendo que podes crear, inventar o en donde podes innovar. No te apresures, te falta mucho por aprender, crecer y saber... todo es un proceso y estas en eso. Disfrutalo y se paciente, especialmente con las cosas que amas. Seguí soñando en grande y fortaleciendo tu fé por que tu misma sabes que tu “Todo lo puedes en Cristo que te fortalece” Así como te visualizaste en las olimpiadas juveniles, con una medalla en el podium. Hoy visualízate creciendo @simplyspoonfull y contagiandote de gente que te ayudara a crecerlo. Gente que es y sera parte de tu plan de vida y que llegara a enseñarte algo. Hoy celébrate a ti, celébrate mucho por que hoy comienza una nueva etapa de tu vida! Hats, shoes, and bags… oh my! On Monday evening, we hosted a group of students who are studying accessories, which gave us the opportunity to finally show off the fabulous objects that you see here.
