Most of us like rear-wheel drive cars a lot. So let's cut to the chase: The #505 marked the end for rear-wheel drive Pugs. But the 505 is still a brilliant car. It's a big #Peogeot, and I love big old Peugeots. So this came to live in 1979, with it's design made by #Pininfarina and Peugeot. The interior design however came from Paul Bracq who later worked for BMW and Mercedes-Benz. It came as rather conservative four door and a massive estate, called "Break". The 505 was and is well known for it's almost agricultural ruggedness and remains very popular in Africa even to this day. It's hard to kill a 505. It's a testament for old cars built quality. Among the many 505 models the Dangel, a raised 4x4 Break, and the Turbo are my personal favourites. The car in the picture is a post 1986 model featuring a facelift and a revised interior. The Turbo was almost top of the line. I think top models featured the infamous PRV V6. Anyways, I dig the period alloys and the overall state of this car. These things are getting rare over here. Like many other european cars the 505 was built in many other countries - in China it had a second live as Guangzhou-Peugeot 505 and was sold in rather small numbers.
