The price of design... . When people come to me and ask for new branding or a website they’re either pleasantly surprised by my reasonable rates or not so pleasantly surprised when it’s more than they thought. In fact, most people don’t really know how much design costs. While I’m not going to go into detail about my pricing on Instagram, I try as best I can to make my service affordable because I’m passionate about helping new business owners start a career they love. I also don’t believe in ripping people off and charging agency prices. When you invest in professional design & branding it’s not as simple as just knocking up a quick logo. Here’s what you’re paying for: . ✔️ Consulting & strategy on how your brand should look and feel. ✔️ Research, brainstorming & vision boarding. ✔️ 3 years + at University or similar learning the software. (And buying the software). ✔️ Initial concept design. Usually around 4 concepts although this varies from designer to designer. ✔️ Concept development to get your logo closer to the final. ✔️ Final design including any revisions or tweaks you may need. ✔️ Image direction, website design, other marketing collateral eg. Brochure, business card design, social media graphics. You get the picture It’s not as easy or quick as some people think and not only are you paying for the time but you’re paying for a professional brand that will make you look the part, set you apart from the rest and get you clients. One of my clients - a beauty therapist - emailed me recently and said two of her clients had picked her out of all the beauticians in the area because her website and logo looked “by far the best”. As I’ve said before, if you take your business and image seriously, so will everybody else. I’ve connected with some of the most influential Instagram accounts in the entrepreneur space by building relationships with them and paying them to post my content on their page. The majority of my clients find me from these campaigns. ... ▶️ COMMENT, RESPOND, HELP What you put into your online presence is what you get out. If you don’t contribute value on other people’s pages or your own, then no one will know who you are. If you’re not responding to your followers comments, they’ll just stop following you and go to someone else that actually recognizes them. Actually start engaging and dialoguing with your audience and they will help you grow by sharing your content. ... ▶️ POST MORE Sounds simple right? A lot of personal brands are suffering from obscurity because they just don’t post enough. Don’t go crazy! I post 2-3 times a day at the most. When you put yourself out there more, of course you’re going to increase your exposure. ... ▶️ CONTENT CONTENT CONTENT My Instagram account continues to explode each week by simply leveling up the value of my content every single day. I listen to my audience and respond to questions. I ask them questions. I get them involved. I post relevant content that resonates and helps them. Well hello, it's been a while! Well, its been about two weeks but long enough! I've been beavering away behind my computer busily preparing for not one but TWO brand launches happening next week! .
