This is long but worth reading. So, today, i went to a cold room to get some frozen items for a customer. While waiting for my turn to be attended to, i got engaged in a discussion with the woman who was next on line before me. One thing led to another and i asked, how much do you sell a kg of Titus? She told me how she sells and with so much surprise in my face, i yelled and said but If you multiply your selling price per kg by 20kg it gives you far below even the cost price of original titus from the cold room now. She was like "weeeeell, how for do"? Curious, i asked further so, how are you making your gain when you are selling far below the cost price? She smiled and said "we know how we do it" and i said "how"? Tell me i want to know. Alas, she confessed and said "we mix all the types of Titus and sell ni o. The original titus, semi original titus and the fake titus. Again, i opened my mouth wide in surprise stiring at her then the next thing she said was "awon customer, won fe gbo oto oro" ( meaning - customers don't like to hear the truth). Take note, whichever way, she still makes her gain. It is the customer that suffers. By the time she buys these (3) "supposed" categories of Titus at different cost price, mixed them together, sells at her price, she will still make very good gain. However, for the customer, she/he would not only have bought a mixture of original and fake titus, but would also have spent more to buy eventhough it seemingly looks like a better deal. Dear Customer, can you really differentiate original Titus from the others? Do you like to hear the truth? Wouldn't you rather pay a little extra and get that original Titus?
