Slow Sunday mornings These two can have the best giggles together. It melts my heart even though they have only been together for almost 6 months as siblings. I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to raise both a girl and a boy. I'm not sure if it's just because the second child is easier as I was more aware of what to expect but in my experience boys are totally different to girls. Same mama, same environment. But then again that can be the case when you have two of the same sex too. In my case I find my little girl to be more fiery, gutsy and wild...even as a baby she was a go getter. My little man though is such a little gentle soul I can just image us going for coffees one day and having profound conversations about life They both teach me great lessons every single day. The second time around I'm soaking it all in. Some days I feel extremely guilty about the fact that I completely loved the newborn stage with Arden. When Alexa was born I had no idea what I was in for. The shock of being a first time mother hit me hard!! The sleepless nights, the crying you couldn't turn "off", the colic...and then Andy started working away when she was only 6 weeks old. I found it so hard to cope I immediately decided that I wouldn't have a second baby. But look at us now. He lights up my life every day. Arden is the happiest baby on the block. Sure he can get cranky and needy but he is by far my easy child. Thank you baby boy. For giving mama such a special experience the second time around. I'm blessed to have a favourite daughter AND a favourite son.
