The banoffee pie is the only dish that I got a picture of because the savory pies with mash, sticky toffee pudding, and strawberry & mint pie all disappeared too quickly but the banoffee was also my favorite. Stop by @stargazyphilly next time you need a real treat and order whatever they have baked fresh.

Philly's (clone) Moon tree! Astronaut Stuart Roosa carried hundreds of tree seeds with him to the moon on the Apollo XIV mission as part of an experiment for the U.S. Forest Service. When he returned he went around ceremoniously planting little pieces of “the moon” all over to pay tribute to the space exploration program. The first of these moon trees was planted in Philadelphia's Washington Square Park in 1975. It was a sycamore, and it was off to a lovely start until it became diseased and died. The National Park Service worked with researchers from The Morris Arboretum to use clippings of the tree, rooted them and created a clone to be replanted in the park. SO this little guy may not be the OG moon tree, but it is genetically identical. Because science! #FunFacts #MoonTree #PhillyTrivia
