We had a fun family day out at @thepostalmuseum today! It was so informative and interesting! We heard how 4 million letters were posted a day and delivered via the Mail Rail, we went to the Postal Museum and learned all about how job roles changed, how posting was still available during the war and saw lots of amazing vehicles! @royalmailofficial has evolved in so many ways over the years! We also spent time in @thepostalmuseum’s garden listening to a live band while the kids planted flowers and did arts and crafts! We had lunch too which was delicious, I think the photo of Darcie proves it! If you would like to see more of our day wipe for more photos and watch my stories for videos! #London Kate and her little travellers visited the @thepostalmuseum in London on their recent UK trip. This gem of a museum is fantastic for kids! With two interactive exhibition galleries, the cool Mail Rail train ride in the 100 year old underground postal delivery network and the Sorted! HALF TERM FUN . Postal Museum London - Sorted! play area is one of my kids' favourite places to go and they still ask for at least two sessions. Our first visit there was in the summer of 2017, days after its opening. . Here's a throwback from the previous half term, when we were the first to arrive at 10.00 and enter the area, so I was able to quickly take some photos of the place (swipe for more photos). . This is where kids become posties for the day and they have a lot of work to do: collect the mail, sort it, deliver it, stamp, send telegrams, drive the car, weight parcels and so on (I've just written a blog post about our experience, link in bio). So in case you are in London with kids this spring (or anytime later), you might want to plan a trip to this museum . So this is my tip for this half term. Woohoo! It's the weekend And one thing I'm really looking forward to is taking the whole family to the opening family extravaganza @thepostalmuseum tomorrow. Museum Girl and I had a sneak peek a couple of weeks ago including one of their story telling sessions. The true story of the lioness attacking a mail coach kept 20 2-3 year olds enthralled, with plenty of singing and dressing up. This photo of the little one says it all!
