Germany went through the comprehensive and complicated process of building the Flak Panzer I under forged documents so as to not draw attention,
Then there’s the USSR, one of the world superpowers presenting all the mechanical complexity of duct tape.
I mean it was an upgrade from the original which was probably just a normal Gaz truck with a Soviet soldier standing on the bed & randomly firing his PPSh-41 into the air.

One of the most famous and effective guns of the 2nd World War:
The Schpagin PPSh-41 or Modell 41.
As soon as the Third Reich invaded the Soviet Union on June 22nd 1941, the soviet military was in need of an automatic weapon, which could be produced fast enough to equip its giant army. On December 21st of the same year, the army officially included the PPSh into their inventory, developed by Georgi Schpagin. In a matter of 6 months he designed and manufactured probably the most iconic russian gun, 2nd to the AK47.
For him it was important to create a machinepistol that was easy and fast in production and operation, using metal sheet stamping for most of the parts.
The 71-round drum magazine was used since day one, the 35-round banana magazine was availible in 1942.
During that year already 1.5 million of these guns were in use within the Red Army, by the end of the war about 5 million. The PPSh-41 had an enormous firerate of 900rpm, but a relatively low velocity of about 500ms. Its main advantage though, was clearly its indestructibility and resilince against the harsh russian climate. Especially for close ranges in cities or buildings, this thing was the weapon of choice not only for the russians, but also for the germans, who frequently used captued PPSh's and even officially re-issued the "MP 717(r)" as they called it, to their troops as often and plenty as they could.
Some were even rechambered to the 9mm-Parabellum the germans used in their MP40.
