Pre Rup Temple is the second most popular sunset spot in Siem Reap, after Phnom Bakheng. Which is your favorite sunset spot in town?

Hopped over to Cambodia for a sunrise visit to the ancient world
Here are the 5 temples we visited in Siem Reap, in order...also in my IG story highlights:
Angkor Wat (sunrise at 5am)
Pre Rup (this one was empty after sunrise)
Ta Som (my favorite, pictured above! Opened at 7:30 and no one around)
Ta Prohm (the best temple to see tons of overgrown trees)
Bayon (the largest- usually people go straight here after Angkor Wat, which is why we circled back)
We bought tickets in the morning at 4:30am and the line was short.
Save for a Cambodia trip! Who’s been here? #finduslostpresets
Strolling through my old photos... The Cambodia trip is one of my favourite trips ever. #throwback

Photo by @jessicasample | Pre Rup is a Hindu temple at Angkor, Cambodia built around 961 AD. Pre Rup means ‘Turning the Body’ and refers to a traditional method of cremation in which a corpse’s outline is traced in the cinders which suggests this site was used for ritual cremations. Because the temple is built entirely of brick and laterite, the warm tones of these materials are best are seen early in the morning or when the sun is setting, like in this photo. #prerup #cambodia
I don't usually do the sentimental thing, and I really dont usually do the people in photo thing, but I have to get a bit deep on you guys as this is a pretty special occasion.

Today is the 2-year anniversary of @travelsofsophie and I, which is 1 year and 9 months longer than any of my past relationships. I've known some amazing girls, but none that shared my passions and lifestyle, and definitely none with cute British accents.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It's been an amazing, exhausting, exhilarating, beautifully wild ride. Thank you for having the courage to share this crazy life with me.

From another mysterious temple of Siem Reap ...

Pre Rup temple translates as "turn the body" which coincides with ancient Khmer funerary practices of rotating a person’s ashes during the funeral ceremony. Legend has it that this temple may have served at a funeral site and crematorium for the Angkor civilization. .

It was built using laterite and brick. At the top of the central staircase you can see the remnants of two dragon statues.
