The Procuratie Vecchie are one of the most beautiful Generali's historical homes. For the first time in 500 years, a large part of the Procuratie will be made accessible to the public thanks to an ambitious renovation project.
Contracted to David Chipperfield Architects Milan, the project kicks off in Venice’s Piazza San Marco. The project includes the restoration of the first and second floors and will also enhance the third floor to include exhibition spaces open to the public and linked to @TheHumanSafetyNet, work spaces and an auditorium.
The restoration work will recuperate original venetian materials and traditional workmanship, involving specialist companies and local artisans throughout. The floors, for example, will be in venetian terrazzo and pastellone!
