#providersareourpals ~ The kiddos helped me get ready for my presentation on Friday in Paris on Pregnancy After Loss at the International Womens Mental Health Conference. ~ March is also Pregnancy After Loss Awareness month and @pregnancyafterlosssupport mission this year is to educate providers about how the PAL mom wants to be supported emotionally during her subsequent pregnancy. ~ I’m so lucky that my rainbows wanted to help stable the packets for providers. We love this update from Valerie Meek, PALS Operations Director. She has been delivering #ProvidersAreOurPALS packets and wrote this update about taking it to her daughter's pediatrician. There are so many providers that can benefit from the information contained in the packet, not just OBs and midwives. This girl just turned three, which seems both just right and absolutely impossible. Time moves so strangely after loss. On Tuesday we had her three year well visit, and she was so excited to give her pediatrician the #ProvidersAreOurPALS packet that she helped me prepare. She even drew a little picture on the back of the letter to personalize it a bit for her doctor. We've been really blessed with our healthcare providers, but if there is one that I've struggled with it's her current pediatrician. We moved into her care for Stitch's 12-month well baby visit. We had moved recently, and it no longer made sense to drive an hour to the pediatrician who had seen her since birth. But, her original pediatrician and everyone at that office had been through all the struggles we went through that first year due to Stitch's pre-term birth, feeding struggles, dairy allergy, NICU stay, and more. They celebrated with us at every ounce gained and every milestone, fully understanding how we'd fought to get there. Continued in comments⬇️⬇️
