Ya girl gave a talk about talking the other day! Thank you to @ignitionventurestudio for hosting my workshop for the American Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines @amchamcomms on #PublicSpeaking and #EventHosting. It was just a dip into the topics from a theatre approach but I can’t wait to expand these topics into more deep-dive or intensive sessions. For now, I’m just really stoked that this 1hr session was fun for both myself and the amazing professionals that attended this! How to be a confident and passionate public speaker, coach, or Yoga teacher? We all want to know that Sharing some of my tips with you: - - 1. Be enthusiastic about your subject and express your enthusiasm verbally and non-verbally. Choose passion over perfection. 2. Act out of kindness, compassion and love, whatever the context. 3. Work on your somatic confidence to be present, mindful, elegant and persuasive both with your body and your words. 4. Rehearse and practice on a regular basis. If you are a public speaker, record your rehearsals and practice with distractions — be ready to answer questions, react to comments, etc. Train your nervous system. Cultivate resilience, courage and discipline. 5. Always warm-up before your presentation or your workshop. Stretch your body and facial muscles, release the tension from your jaw, chat with the audience, and calm down if you feel nervous with parasympathetic breathing or a self-hug. Choose excitement over anxiety. Hope it will help☃️Namaste
