I started my business 4 years ago and still do a happy dance every time an order comes in. When you purchase an item from my shop, you are supporting a dream - a dream about the crazy idea I could change the fashion industry by creating quality products using sustainable materials.

My two favorite words that accurately describe the process of becoming freaky fast
⠀⠀
In a world full of “quick fixes” and “get results FAST” programs, we rarely want to hear the truth that great things, like developing your true speed, take time and consistent, quality work.
⠀⠀
In training for sprinting, we gotta be focused on high quality versus high quantity. Sprinting is an extremely high-demanding movement as well as technical in nature. So, taking each sprint with a high level of focus is super important.
⠀⠀
You might see motivational videos that show athletes drenched in sweat and barely able to breathe after completing a workout and be tempted to think that’s the key to becoming faster. While these kinds of workouts may be necessary for some situations, true speed development is done when your body is rested and fresh – when you’re able to turn your legs over as quickly as they are capable of when they aren’t extremely fatigued. Having this kind of focus on QUALITY work is how your body best adapts to running at high speeds and is another major key in becoming freaky fast.
⠀⠀
So no matter how much your friend Kevin talks about how he’s working so hard that he’s puking after every workout, that kind of thing just doesn’t work when trying to develop top speed. Forget about Kevin. Sometimes the best training doesn’t make great motivational stories – take longer rests in between sprints, maintain consistent “recovery” days, focus on the overall quality of your movement, and you will see amazing results that last over long periods of time.
⠀⠀
The most challenging part of all this is staying consistent in your quality work. It’s so easy to be super consistent and work extremely hard for a week or two, not see results, and decide that maybe sprinting isn’t for you. Avoid this temptation, friends! If you stick with it and stay consistent over time, the results will come! And it will all be worth it.
⠀⠀
Have an awesome night everyone! Let me know how I can help you in any way.
⠀⠀
Be freaky fast,
⠀⠀

Nutrition research has assumed that a carbohydrate is a carbohydrate, a fat is a fat, and a protein is a protein, no matter what type of food they come packaged in. If one person eats 50 percent of calories from fat in the form of donuts, pizza, candy, and fast food and another person eats 50 percent of calories from fat in the form of whole foods like meat, fish, avocados, nuts, and seeds, they will be lumped together in the same “50 percent of calories from fat” group in most studies.
Most people are shocked to learn that this is how nutrition research works. It doesn’t take a trained scientist to understand why this would be problematic. And yet, although there are some signs that the tide is turning, the vast majority of epidemiological studies that have served as the basis for public health recommendations and dietary guidelines are plagued by this focus on quantity over quality.
For a deeper dive on this topic, read my article “Why Quality Trumps Quantity When It Comes to Diet” by clicking the link in my bio.
Do you believe that all micronutrients are created equal? Do you prioritize quality or quantity when it comes to the food on your plate? Let me know in the comments.
