The subconscious mind knows no past nor future. It doesn’t rely on time because if time didn’t exist, it would still function the same exact way without it.
If you say “I will...”, it translates to “I will the next day” ... and the next day... and the next day. It’s a repeated cycle you give to your subconscious mind.
Bottom line: you’ll never get to it.
Speak as if you had already achieved it.
Put your phrase as “I am feeling great.” Even if you are are giving suggestion on a future date, you still want to use the present tense.
Wherever you are, your subconscious mind will give you whatever you say you are in the present moment. Focus on the present!

My face and my life for the last two weeks! BA was bliss
That switch off was everything! I was a stagnant walking pina colada and it’s exactly what the dr ordered. But I’m ready to get on the hop again with a very fun August in store! Many workshops to come this month and I cannot wait to share with you all. Stay tuned for the next couple of days and jump on board with any that feel up your ally (pun intended) so many exciting, important and fitting topics to cover!
For now I am heading to bed to dream about the good life I was living and I’ll be up tomorrow with my first alarm of the month and I’m not sure I’ll be this excited about it. BUT HEY ♀️ reality is still good too
When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.
When a person says to you, ‘I’m selfish’, or ‘I’m mean’ or ‘I am unkind’ or 'I don't do relationships', or 'commitment is not for me' or 'I can't give you what you want', believe them. They know themselves much better than you do.
Holding out for someone to change. Spending a lot of time waiting by the phone for a call that rarely comes. Clinging onto hope. Wondering where you stand. Constantly being let down, are not things to blame the other person for. They are showing you who they are. BELIEVE THEM! .

As Maya Angelou said to Oprah, “My dear, why must you be shown 29 times before you can see who they really are? Why can’t you get it the first time?” .

Are you someone who is learning many painful lessons by giving someone a second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth (you get the picture) chance. Do you see the “potential” in people? The person they “could” be, with love and nurturing from you? Do you make excuses for their behaviour? In intimate relationships and also friendships are you ignoring the red flags and warning signs? Do you believe you can fix them and that you can change them?
Consider how hard it is to change yourself and you'll understand what little chance you have in trying to change others. .
And lastly, let’s be reminded of....We teach people how to treat us by what we allow.

This post is not meant to make anyone feel bad about themselves. We can ALL act like selfish little shitbags sometimes, and that’s ok! Selfishness is just an ego trap which is largely due to our conditioning. The core of who you are is not selfish; the core of who you are is a loving, generous, compassionate person who craves connection and belonging. Always remember that ❤️❤️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We can dream about walking around as selfless, egoless beings but that’s not realistic. What’s important is to bring conscious awareness to our thoughts/feelings and the language we use to describe them. Just simply becoming aware of the fact that we are being selfish is a good place to start. Hint: the more you practice self-love, the less selfish you become. It just works that way ♀️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Here’s a practice that helps me whenever I feel myself stuck in the “selfishness ego trap.” I simply say to my ego: “stop focusing on yourself and focus on others.” I say this repeatedly until I’m out of the trap. It might feel forced at first, but it shuts the ego down real quick! Try it ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Fight, flight, freeze. The stress response induced by the sympathetic nervous system. When we’re in any one of these three states our body is being flooded with stress hormones intended to save our life from imminent death. Prepared for fight or flight, the blood sucks out of our core, into the large muscles of our extremities, gearing up to save our life. Prepared for freeze, breath and heart rate slow so significantly not only can we freeze, but black out, faint and lose consciousness too.
♀️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is a genius system that really does save our lives when we need it. Able to lift the car off the person beneath it, run out and thru the blazing fire or disassociate when attack is underway and there’s nowhere else to flee. The problem with us and our daily lives, NOT THIS SYSTEM, is that we’ve come to perceive traffic jams as squashing vehicles, emails as blow torches and a conversation as an attack. Too much stress stimulous causes our adrenals to fatigue, our system to get over taxed with stress hormones and our mind less resilient to perceived stress. I imagine our nervous system simply frayed. ♀️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Today I invite you to notice how often you over stimulate your sympathetic nervous system. How many emails felt like a blow torch? How many times did you emotionally react? Freeze up?
