NFL NEWS: Ravens TE Mark Andrews "could be a featured receiving target" according to the team's website.
•
Andrews definitely had a promising rookie year as a receiver catching 34 passes for 552 yards and 3 TDs. From a fantasy perspective he finished as the TE17 overall which is pretty solid for a rookie.
He also was very efficient in 2018. His 16.3 YPR, his +46.9% Target Premium, and his 124.8 Passer Rating When Targeted all ranked 2nd in the league. Beyond that, his 2.14 PPR Fantasy Points/Target ranked 4th best as well.
Even though Hayden Hurst is healthy this season, he profiles as more of a blocking tight end whereas Andrews is more of the receiver.
•
Andrews was able to build some good rapport with QB Lamar Jackson so as they both head into their sophomore seasons, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them both take a step forward in 2019.
In fantasy, Andrews is being drafted in the double-digit rounds and is shaping up to be one of the better late round TE grabs this season. He should be valued as a mid-to-high end TE2.
