Hey hi- I haven’t posted in a minute so a MoNdAy MoRnInG mIrRoR mOmEnT is gonna have to do the job. ☕️☺️ Little update: I’ve been super busy in the salon and on Friday I leave for Florida! I’ve got a couple big things happening in the next 2 weeks so I can’t wait to post. ❤️ It’s no secret this past year has been a tough one on me without my dad.. but I finally feel like I’m finding my groove again!! Grief shows up in the weirdest ways and anyone that’s experienced it you are FREAKIN STRONG. And you don’t hear it enough! Hi all!! Hope everyone is having an awesome Thursday! I just wanted to stop in and give everyone a little reminder to stay true to yourself & stay passionate about what you do. Lately I have been comparing myself to other stylists and while it’s good to strive to be better and learn from them, it’s also good to remind myself that the only person I should ever be competing with or comparing myself to is who I was yesterday. This industry and, well, let’s face it, girls in general can be super cut throat and it is easy to lose sight of our own goals when we are caught up in what other stylists are doing & posting. I think it’s important for us all to take a second to remember why we do what we do. I do hair because it’s fun and opens up so much creativity while also making someone’s day, I do this job because it makes ME feel good! I post things on my page because they make ME feel good!! There is no right or wrong way to be a hair stylist and there is no right or wrong way to run an instagram page either. As long as it tickles your fancy, that’s all that matters! . We’re supposed to be finding more creative ways to showcase the hair. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ But... ya girl sometimes barely has time to take a damn photo let alone pose my client or work them angles! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ So drop a comment ⬇️⬇️ and tell me I’m not alone, or that you think I’m making excuses for myself ‍♀️ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I created this look on the babe @allirosevaught a few months ago using all @redken Shades EQ cream! I utilize this line often because it provides more opaque coverage, the silicone base creates that smoothness and shine + the consistency of the product makes for a satisfying application. Using, of course, the best @framar tools. Quick dried with my @oliviagardenint flatbrush and waved with the @babylissprousa Prima3000.

A day in the life of The Spirit of Suwannee Music Park. I have been so excited about a new class that Redken is launching this year called Festival Hair. You guys know how much I love festivals, so of course I can’t wait to lend a hand in teaching this new class. I packed my Caboodle full of awesome braiding materials and headed to the amphitheater to boogie down to Ghost-Note and make some ladies very happy by transforming their hair into the goddess I see within them. Painting braids is my new favorite thing to create that perfect warrior princess look. Who else has that one haircolor that makes them feel like themselves every time For me, its RED ❤️ Well not just any red. A level 6 red copper to be precise. My natural color is a strawberry blonde but that’s not the color that makes me feel like myself. Being a hairstylist has definitely shown me that the best color for someone’s skin tone might not always be their natural color. For me, a warmer richer color brings out more warmth in my normally pale skin and makes my eyes pop. For some people a cool color can help reduce the look of redness in their skin and make their skin look better overall.
