Houses of Pyatigorsk . Dear friends! . Pyatigorsk is a town located in Caucasus. It is an old town belonging to the resort of Caucasian Mineral Waters. It's architectural image was formed mostly at the beginning of the XX century. . The houses of Pyatigorsk can be compared with a cherry on a cake. The Many cherries. Different. They complemented our impressions by a harmonic way. . Round or semi-round windows. Paunchy lace balconies. Wrought-iron canopies over the entrances. Doors that hasn't been opened at least for 50 years. Doors of a shape I can't describe with one word. Laughing pans. Small towers and bay windows. . The image of the beginning of the XX century I formed in my mind due to films, old photos and post cards. And I should say Pyatigorsk corresponds to this image totally. . Once during a walk around Pyatigorsk we couldn't go along the street in historical part of the town. They were making a movie and the street was fenced. I wasn't surprised to be honest. . Dear friends! . I continue to tell you about our travel to the resort of Caucasian Mineral Waters and the town of Pyatigorsk we stayed in. . Today I would like to show some soviet architecture. There are several drinking pavilions of mineral water built in soviet period. This type of architecture is not considered to be attractive because of its simplicity. . But don't be in a hurry. It amazes with its blue colours and scenes of Caucasian life of the XIX century, doesn't it? You see painted ceramic panels. Dear friends! . Let's continue with Kislovodsk today. . Mineral water Narzan one of the treasuries of Kislovodsk. The spring was discovered here in XIX century and still to give the water available for drinking and for baths as well. . The list of its therapeutic features consists of 9 points. In the old times the water was called a drink of the strong persons. . Visiting Kislovodsk we were going to drink Narzan for sure. We wanted to do it by aesthetic way in accordance with the aristocratic spirit of this place. . To enter English gothic romantism styled drinking gallery built in XIX century, pour mineral water in a porcelain cup in order water spark and bubble and slowly walk along the walls decorated with the marble. . Well... We've managed to do it in the short breaks between we've been catching our fast as the wind son and pulling him out of the marble pool in the center of the gallery . But once we decided we would travel all together and do not want to change our decision. . At last this one year Don Juan went to flirt with the women under the supervision of his Dad. How we got to Zheleznovodsk. . Dear friends! . I want to share with you this story because of two reasons. . 1. It's not always possible to find information about transport in advance. Sometimes it's necessary to clarify it in the place. . 2. If you do all your best you get what you want. . . So, I couldn't find timetable for the transport from Pyatigorsk to Zheleznovodsk while preparing for our trip around resort of Caucasian Mineral Waters. I only could discover there existed a bus going between the Pyatigorsk and Zheleznovodsk. . To know the timetable we went to the central bus terminal of Pyatigorsk at the eave of the trip to Zheleznovodsk. But we've not found any timetable. We went to the information desk to get information than. . It turned the bus was leaving from another bus terminal located near Apper Market. . We went to that bus terminal to consult the timetable. And knew it wasn't exist. The bus #113D leaved every 10-15 minutes starting from 7 a.m. . As you understand we went to Zheleznovodsk and returned back to Pyatigorsk without any problems. . Why Pyatigorsk? . Yes, I remember I've already answered this question. But breathtaking landscapes are not the only reason. . Pyatigorsk is one of the towns of the resort Caucasian Mineral Waters. We organized a trip there at the beginning of May. . If you would look at the map of the resort you notice perfect location of Pyatigorsk. . 40 minutes to airport by taxi 50 minutes to Kislovodsk by suburban train 25 minutes to Yessentuki by suburban train 30 minutes to Zheleznovodsk by bus . Pyatigorsk is a big town and has well developed transport system. We based in Pyatigorsk and made one day trips to the other towns of the resort. We consider this way of traveling to be comfortable. Dear friends! . Let's stop for a bit with Pyatigorsk and see the park of Kislovodsk. It is 968 hectares of trees and bushes of 250 sorts. 30 km of therapeutic paths there are in this park - the longest in Europe. Now the park has a status of cultural heritage of Russia. . We've visited the park twice. And I think we should once have a rest in Kislovodsk at least for a week to study the corners of the park. As for me I'm against the fast seeing of places. . It turns during a day you a running as a horse runs at the race track. But at the evening you are sitting in the hotel or at home and try to remember what you've seen here. . We used to travel by such a way some time ago but stopped. That is why we were slowly and attentively walking around Kislovodsk park. We didn't try to run around all the 968 hectares of it. . We've seen the Lower park (the oldest part) and the Middle park. The mountain park we left for the next visit. . It is the Middle park on photos. It begins from the place named Valley of roses and lasts up to the Grey stones (swipe ). You can find these objects easily on the map. The roses were not blossoming yet. But even without them the landscapes were breathtaking. . Grey stones are the part of natural rock of grey colour and a monument of nature.
