Me GIVING UP on ever having a photo without my double chin protruding out! Okay so real talk! You know how everyone has that ONE thing about their physical appearance that they’re really self conscious of? Well mine is my double chin. No matter how much I work out or eat clean, it’s ALWAYS THERE. Having a double chin runs on both sides of my family. A part of my job is to constantly be in front of a camera. I can’t even tell you how many good photos Or videos I’ve deleted all because my double chin was out.. Lately that hasn’t been the case because I completely just accepted the fact that it’ll always be there and that it’s TOTALLY OKAY. It’s what makes me, me. There’s so much more to us than our physical appearance. Is there something you’re self conscious of? Have you accepted it or does it still bother you from time to time? For my girls who have combo-oily and less than perfect skin- this ones for you. I wanted to share the foundation and primer combo that #beccacosmeticsgiftedme — the first light priming filter and the skin love foundation #octolyfamily . . . I’m a big fan of letting my skin breathe on days I’m just at home- but when I want to go full glam or just for days in the office- I’ve had a hard time finding a foundation/ primer combo that works with my skin- yet still looks natural. Until I tried Skin Love by @beccacosmetics . . . I want enough coverage to even out my skin- that I can blend out without feeling like I’m wearing a mask. Oh- and it needs to stay put for at least 8 hours without sliding off, which is a high order given how oily I get. . . . That’s a lot to live up to right? Anyway- I wanted to share a few tips I can share with you to find your perfect foundation shade AND how to extend coverage. . If you like enough coverage to even out but not mask your face go for products labeled as “medium coverage” or “dewy” And “buildable.”You can always thin out your foundation by adding highlighting drops or a little bit of moisturizer if you’re going to the beach or for something low key. This is the type of foundation I reach for. . . . To find your perfect shade I would HIGHLY recommend going to Sephora’s website and picking a foundation you want to try. You can go to their “find my shade” plugin and put in one you ALREADY USE and know you’re matched with and it will give you a recommendation. I’d take this match and go to the sales lady and ask them for three samples: one lighter, your recommended color, and one darker. Take them home and apply to your cheeks BUT WAIT 20 mins to see if they oxidize (aka turn orange or turn darker). So often we buy products in store and we don’t give them enough time to develop to how they will wear all day long. . . . For making a medium coverage or dewy foundation last all day— SET THAT SHIT. If I’m not in front of a mirror and am doing my makeup in the car (standard), I’ll actually use my ring finger to tap/ pack banana powder under my under eyes, chin and forehead. Want a tutorial?
