Just ran the Hackney Half Marathon with this absolute goddess @ameliasweetlandactor (who admittedly sped off at mile two after I instructed her to) and it was A PERSONAL BEST! YAS! This morning I woke up groggy, still exhausted and feeling pretty low. Plus I had about 100 messages, emails, phone calls, you know - all the stuff that comes when you run a business? Luckily @ameliasweetlandactor gently dragged my butt out of bed for a run, and my cobwebs are well and truly cleared. Off to the the London Cooking Project to take photos for the first night of the Twelfth Night @scriptsforsupper supperclub, a brilliant food and theatre concept by @anniemck1989

So... I’m going to be doing a wonderful event with this beautiful creature @anniemck1989 A glorious, yet slightly daunting, 5 weekend run of ‘The Wind in the Willows’ in May and June, at city farms across London with @scriptsforsupper I told myself this year that I was going to take a break from cheffing, rediscover my mo jo, that kind of thing. I was tired, feeling a bit demotivated and anxious about everything. But just at the point I made the decision to stop, this young, talented individual asked me if I would come on board as Head Chef and run the kitchen for Scripts for Supper (Annie’s company). Funny how the universe works some times eh. I did a weekend with Annie and the team last summer in Devon, and it was the most fabulous weekend, filled with so much laughter, joy and tinged with only small amounts of panic.. so how could I say no!! I’m excited to be sharing the menu soon, all inspired by the book and its characters, naturally. Also, there will be a kids banqueting option so open to all! Slightly scared as over those 5 weekend I will be shifting 5,000 plates of food from a small field kitchen on a farm (thanks Annie) but I have a crack team of chefs helping so.. it will be fine And the venues are fabulous @stepneycityfarm @spitalfieldscityfarm @mudchute_farm Annie’s adaptation of the book is genius, the setting stunning and the food, well! And so on Friday night I was fortunate enough to spend the most epic of evenings throughly enjoying the opening performance at the @stepneycityfarm of Wind In The Willows and eating a gastronomic delight of five amazing courses from @masterchefuk legend and great friend of mine @fosburyfoodie.
