BTW, the extended Alfa Romeo thread was the result of Jim Stokes Workshop posts covering the Peter Giddings Memorial at Sears Point last week. Peter Greenfield was present as a close friend and long time competitor. He demonstrated a number of Giddings’ rare race cars including an 8C-35, but these shots are from California Speedway in Fontana when “Uncle” Peter Greenfield owned and raced the original. It later sold at auction in the UK for $10M! One of the earliest uses of the Cavallino Rampante and a lovely paint style of the prancing horse.
