На сайте библиотеке можно просматривать оцифрованные книги, редкие фото Мельбурна и журналы. Активному пополнению коллекции способствует закон штата, по которому копия любой изданной книги в Виктории должна быть бесплатно отправлена в библиотеку. ⠀ Прийти сюда может любой желающий. Внутри есть WiFi и несколько залов, где можно в тишине посидеть за ноутбуком. Такой вот бесплатный коворкинг в центре города. ⠀ Атмосфера в библиотеке меня вдохновляет✨. В Москве мне нравилось проводить время в читальне имени Тургенева, c двухэтажным залом и винтовой лестницей. И в библиотеке Достоевского на Чистых прудах, там большие классные окна. А в Твери - в Горьковской. ⠀ Признавайтесь, когда в последний раз заглядывали в библиотеку ⠀ - State Library of Victoria ⠀ One of my favourite places to spend time in a quiet atmosphere right in the city centre. The entrance is free, and you can just choose the table and connect the laptop to the public WiFi. The Library also has a huge collection of books (more than 5 million items), vinyls and art objects.

Cape Otway Lighthouse✨ ⠀ Маяк Отвей один из старейших маяков в штате Виктория, ему уже 170 лет. Он находится по дороге к 12 Апостолам и это одна из обязательных остановок в путеводителях по Великой Океанской дороге. Можно забраться на балкон маяка, погулять по территории, заглянуть в кафе. Вид на океан потрясающий. Цена за вход - 20$ (1000 рублей) на человека. ⠀ Стоит ли сюда заезжать? ⠀ Если вы страстный фанат маяков – то однозначно стоит. В остальном, на мой взгляд, его можно пропустить. Стоимость за вход не маленькая (как 5 чашек кофе или обед), а по дороге вдоль побережья еще будет много красивых мест с завораживающими видами❤️. Если не заедете, впечатлений меньше не станет. - Cape Otway Lighthouse is one of the many stops on the Great Ocean Road trip. It's one of the oldest lighthouses in Victoria. You can go up the Lighthouse Balcony for awesome views❤️, and hear the history of tragic shipwrecks. Ticket costs about 20$ per person.

It was too windy to set up my tripod, it was almost too windy to stand but the views just kept getting better and better! ———————————————— As we got closer and closer to the Twelve Apostles the crowds really started to increase. As a result, we really started to notice was an increase in plastic use. Every bus that stopped, people hopped off clutching plastic water bottles & shopping bags. It was disappointing to be standing at the edge of the land, looking over our beautiful seas to witness the very thing that is choking them. It was crazy to see how much trash was left behind in these serene and ex-pristine places. With the wind and the rain that day, it’s not a stretch of the imagination to figure out how that trash makes it to the ocean. What was most disappointing however, was the fact that @parksvic was selling copious amounts of plastic water bottles and other single use plastic in their visitor centre at the Twelve Apostles. How can they justify that? How can they help trash the place that provides them so much exposure? Wouldn’t it be better to provide taps and sell reusable branded bottles? It’s time for them to step up and make proactive decisions that protect not only the land their tourists stand on but the seas that dramatically & breathtakingly crash into that land. @sealegacy #mostlymountains #turningthetide
