“So oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
You need to calm down, you're being too” irritated - I tell my skin jamming to another Taylor Swift song that doesn’t get out of my head .
Anyways, @iunik_official kindly sent over their Centella Calming Gel Cream for review (thank you!). The name says it all as it is truly soothing for any irritations on your skin due to centella and tea tree that is in the product. This has been great for the summer as it is not as rich, but come winter, this might not be Hydrating enough for me to rely on as a moisturizer for my dryer skin. This would be great for sensitive, acne, or oily/combo skin.
What’s your favorite soothing product?

Happy Wednesday y’all - I couldn’t decide between #whitewednesday or #pinkwednesday so I went with both!
@preendotme kindly sent me some @theinkeylist products over for me to review and I couldn’t be more delighted (the Hyaluronic Acid I bought on my own). I actually bought most of these before too so might include in a giveaway later!
The Inkey List really breaks down the confusion with skincare ingredients at an affordable price and I’m all for this minimalistic approach! I feel like it can be confusing on how to layer or what days to do what, and it’s great that we are all going through that journey through our accounts.
My approach with these products - I started with another cleanser, toner, and essence and then:
1) I mixed the Hyaluronic Acid with Vitamin C for my first serum. The Vitamin C on its own felt tingly on my skin so I wanted to make sure I didn’t get a irritating reaction after. I’m loving the Hyaluronic acid serum - giving me the hydration I need in my routine.
2) I used the Hepta-Peptide next, which helps with the appearance of fine lines. The texture of this felt like a primer and I would definitely like this in the summer to help mattify the skin.
3) Next came the Caffeine eye cream for me, which definitely helped brighten up my under-eye.
4) Last, went in with this Hemp moisturizer. Although it felt moisturizing and soothing for my skin, the smell is a bit overwhelming for me. I’m starting to get used to it now, but it took me awhile to get here.
I followed this with my SPF. With this routine though, my skin pilled a bit with SPF - it could be the hepta-peptide but I’m not entirely sure. Overall, this routine felt okay for me in the summer but I think I would need something more moisturizing for the winter for my dry skin. I have a few other products of the Inkey List that I think would be ideal for that, which I can’t wait to test out.
How would you layer these or other The Inkey List products that you may be trying out? Let me know which products you’re trying out below!

@sundayriley CEO Rapid Flash Brightening Serum
What it is: crafted with 15% advanced, stable vitamin C, this antioxidant formula works to target dark spots, dullness and signs of aging, revealing firmer and plumper skin. 1) Vitamin C (15% THD Ascorbate): features superior visible brightening, clarifying, and antioxidant properties; helps fight the first signs of aging, 2) Phytosterols Complex: isolated from soybeans and containing at least 40 percent beta-sitosterol, it helps reduce the look of redness and skin sensitivity, 3) Saccharide Isomerate Extract: reduces the appearance of pores while reinforcing the skin's natural moisture barrier for smooth, supple texture, 4) Glycolic Acid: Provides mild refinement to the skin; maintains the pH of the serum for maximum vitamin C efficacy, while supporting natural cell turnover and glow of the skin.
My overall experience: while last week’s VitC earns a holy grail status from me, this one is a different story. Unfortunately I did not see any visible results with this product even with consistent uses. This bottle lasted my approximately 2 months, used twice a day. After experiencing the unfortunately fast oxidation of a previous L-Ascorbic product, I decided to explore its more stable derivative, THD Ascorbate, which led me to this product. I liked the pleasant citrusy scent (contains sweet orange oil), the smooth serum texture and how beautifully it applies and plays well with other products when layering, but honestly that’s just as much as I can speak for the pros of it. Didn’t experience the brightness, radiance and plumpness I was expecting during my 2-month trial. Price is also very steep to begin with but it hurts extra when the results are disappointing! Just not for me! I much prefer their CEO Oil!
TLDR: disappointing result even with consistent uses. Prefer Sunday Riley’s own CEO Oil for THD Ascorbic! Still prefer L-Ascorbic Acid after all!
If you’ve tried this product, please do share your experience below as everyone reacts differently!

Me before I got woke: oh no, my skin is a irritated AF. Let me put 25 actives on it for faster healing. I’m so ugly omfg
Me now: hey you guys, my skin looks shitty right now but it’s okay. Nobody’s perfect. I’ll hit reset and take it easy. It’ll get better!

I have no idea why it took me so long to get the Jet Lag Mask by @summerfridays but as they say, better late than never!! This mask is incredibly hydrating and my skin loves it so much. One look at the tube and you know that the mask is loved and used very often. I have a mini of the mask but a full size is already included in my sephora cart. ⠀
⠀
I mix this with 1-2 drops of Honey Grail oil to create my own concoction for glass skin next morning! I would highly recommend everyone to try mixing the mask with your favorite facial oil for best results.⠀

Have you used this yet? Which is the most hydrating mask in your vanity

SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic
What it is: 15% Pure Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid), 1% Vitamin E (Alpha Tocopherol), 0.5% Ferulic Acid
What it claims: 1) Provides advanced environmental protection from skin-damaging free radicals caused by sun and pollution, 2) Improves the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and loss of firmness and 3) Evens and brightens skin tone
My overall experience: I’m on my second bottle and honestly if your skin can tolerate L-Ascorbic and your wallet can afford its price tag, this is the one for you! It’s a patented serum that was created as a result of decades of research and clinical studies! I believe it’s one of the very few OTC products that is backed by research published in peer-reviewed medical journals. I’m going to be short and sweet! It’s definitely been a game changer for my uneven skin tone. This serum has played an important role in transforming my once dull, uneven skin to glowy, brighter, even complexion! I have nothing bad to say about this product. Personally the price point makes it hard for me to sustain but I guess I understand why it’s priced $166 for a 1 oz bottle given the work and investment that was put into the making of it. Some claim the smell reminds them of hot dog water. I don’t mind at all! Others will complain about the packaging but to be honest, it doesn’t oxidizes as fast as some of its better packaged dupes (aka DE). Overall, I have no complain other than I’m just poor!
TLDR: the gold standard of L-Ascorbic. If you can afford the $166 per 1 oz price tag, this is the one!
