I will complete the story in shyness in the next post. But for now, let me drop a few words for entrepreneurs and those involved in business or an enterprise... So a lot of people think of entrepreneurship, running an enterprise or doing business as some sort of glamour! They just visualise having a beautiful office and being called the boss and this feels so satisfying! So they rush in and in a few months become frustrated and tired. Like I keep saying... Entrepreneurship, running an enterprise and doing business are all not easy! Entrepreneurship stands out when it comes to being uncertain, difficult and draining... But I love to pull the 3 together because of the erroneous tag they get by most people who assume that being self employed just means entrepreneurship! Most people are too eager to be called the MD or CEO... But the work isn’t done! There is more to entrepreneurship or running an enterprise or business. Someone asked me the other day; OMA, why is it you never introduce yourself as the CEO! I said to her, there is absolutely no need for that and not now if at all. When the brand OMA LIVING SHOW grows very well, people will always ask for the CEO and the CEO will be known. I don’t have to always be eager to bear the title, it is not a badge or an award. SUCCESS naturally announces itself. So a lot of startups are more eager for this title than pass through the actual process of the growth of the brand or enterprise. Work needs to be done. Many entrepreneurs, business owners etc are not doing well. I keep saying this, there is work to be done beyond the impression people strive to create. A client who contacted me for publicity over the weekend expressed exhaustion at the demands of running a business and said; 9 to 5 is truly easier. I laughed hard and replied; of course! Don’t dabble into business, running an enterprise or entrepreneurship because you think it will give you time, you will become a boss or you will be seen as a big babe or guy...
