So es gibt mal wieder ein Update zu unserer Reise nach Schottland , hier Tag3: Von Edinburgh ging es mit dem Auto Richtung Sterling, von der Autobahn aus sieht man schon “The Kelpies” , zwei Skulptur vom Künstler Andy Scott. Weiter nach Sterling zum William Wallace Monument , oder besser bekannt als der Typ von Braveheart ⚔️ Der Aufstieg ist etwas steil aber in 20 Minuten ist man zu Fuß oben, es gibt aber auch die Möglichkeit mit einem Shuttle nach oben zu kommen. Nicht weit von dort bei Glasgow liegt die Auchentoshan-Brennerei, eine der letzten aktiven in den Lowlands. A Stirling effort ⁣ ⁣ Fair play to the people who built the Wallace Monument back in the 19th Century. ⁣ ⁣ The tower can be seen from multiple points around the city and on the drive through to the Highlands.⁣ ⁣ It’s even more impressive though when you walk up to it. Passing through a forest that’s like something from Lord of the Rings, it sits at the top of a very (very) steep hill. You can take the coach up there today, but where’s the fun in that!
