When should we use neural networks (NN)? . . Neural networks are great for problems where we have real or discrete data with a high dimension. A high dimension means that there are a lot of features that characterize our data. . . For example, if we’re talking about dogs, then we could have: hair color, hair length, eyes color, eyes shape, the shape of the body, the paw, the tail… the list can go on! We have high dimensional data! . Also, neural networks can perform well even if there is noise in our data because we train the algorithm multiple times with the training data. . However, we should only use NN when we don’t need humans to interpret the results because it is a black box, We don’t know what happens in it. . . Always keep in mind that it can take a lot of time to train a neural network, and it depends on how many weight and training samples we have.
