StoryTime ***** Hora Das Histórias. So I was heading home, heading to the trainstation. There was a ticketcollector man standing outside of the trainstation, he greeted me with a smile and right after that he said; wow you are so pretty! I was smiling blushing and said thank you... he proceeds to tell me that he - a black man maybe brownskinned man - loves darkskinned women. It was almost as if he was trying to assure me that over “here” I am loved, “I am not the same as the rest of these black men, I do LOVE darkskinned women”. The first thing I want to say is that I am really proud of myself for chosing myself in a time where I didn’t have many people in my corner! There is this saying that when one door opens another one closes... It was Monday morning and I decided I had enough, I wasn’t going to do this anymore, I decided I was going to put myself first even if it meant losing everything or everyone around me. So I made a change, I changed my attitude. So I quit my job about 8 weeks ago without a real-game plan in check.. I didn’t know what in the world I was going to do but I knew I wasn’t going to get up at 5.30 in the morning to be home at 6.30 in the evening, I was commuting up to 4 hours a day. Nope, not going to do it... it really took a toll on me. ____ I was doubting myself if I did the right thing? Even though I didn’t have a real game plan in my ♥️ I knew I was gonn’ be okay, remember I didn’t have a game plan, not too much savings either but bills to pay but I did it anyway. In this period I wrote one cover letter and it happens this cover letter has led to a new job were I work. I work for the government at a ministry. I work less hours and get way more pay and I have to travel 50 minutes, I went from 4 hours to not even 1 hour travel per day! _____ With this I want to encourage you to do what you are most afraid of but you want to do deep in your heart, jump when you think you can’t handle the outcome.
