You are probably following along with us because you have already figured out that most clothing in the general market isn’t made to fit your proportions. (I mean, it doesn’t take a degree in rocket science , right?). BUT did you know that often times the fit models that companies use to design their line are 5’5” in height - and a lot of times even shorter?! No wonder sleeves, torsos and inseams are so inadequate! ➖ And then on top of it, it gets more & more expensive to produce a style with more sizes that are made of it. Retailers want to produce styles that fit the largest segment of their customer base (I.e. the middle of the bell curve). And to control costs, they eliminate both ends of the bell curve because it’s more expensive to produce things for fewer people. This is also why often times “tall” clothing made by big box retailers is still leaving you frustrated! They play it as safe as possible to protect profit margins. ➖ These are important things for us to all know because often times when we shop & things don’t fit properly, it’s easy to feel like something is wrong with us.
