Our client in this case is 46 years old. The tattoo is approximately 10 to 15 years old. The tattoo is located on his right shoulder blade. This client is tanned. This can be an issue when treating colours other than black ink as the laser wavelengths used on these colours likes to try to take melanin out of bare skin, especially on darker skinned or tanned individuals. As you can see, we have taken all of the black ink from the tattoo. We are now commencing specialist treatments on the reds, blues and greens. Above left is a photo of the tattoo prior to treatment and right is the tattoo after 1 treatment of the red ink on the 532 nm wavelength. You will note there is both a great fade of the red ink from just one treatment. You will also notice our client’s skin around the treatment site, including the freckles have not been effected by the 532 laser, even though our client has a significant sun tan.

Progress shots for a little ankle job we are currently doing. Patience is needed to treat feet and hands. This is because they are located the furtherest away from your regional lymph nodes and your heart causing slightly reduced circulation to your hands and feet and hence it takes a little longer for your body to clear. However as with most things patience and care are all that is needed to send this little fella back to his maker!!
